Income Tax Department has issued notice to leading Social Activist and member of Anna Hazare Team to pay 9 lakh rupees. According to IT Department, Arvind Kejriwal has been issued this notice for breaching the service terms.
Arvind Kejriwal resigned from the IT department in 2006 . He is still Income Tax Department Officer as per IT Dept.
Famous Poet and Team Anna Hazare member, Kumar Vishwas has also been issued income tax notice just after the Jan Lokpal Movement.

ReplyDeleteThis was an expected reaction. In this few month Congress has lot most of its fame. In 1975 Indra Gandhi called for an emergency as due to protest as she found guilty of violating electoral laws by the Allahabad High Court. This Congress is having a heritage of wrong doing from Nehru time. No wonder all the AIC activist will face this reaction. To protect their power and themselves they can go to any extrema. But congress should understand where they were and where they are now. After 64 years they are unable to make a GOVT with out colation. This should be shameful for their leaders. What our PM doing? Even if he is honest, can he tell protecting the culprit is his honesty? I can say the Worst PM is Mr Manmohan with the most horrible GOVT. In these 4-5 years this GOVT is thinking they are the GOD. In another 5 years this congress will dissolve like Janata Dal. They only India can be supper power.

ReplyDeleteI was wondering how govt. became so polite, which never suited them. They passed the 3 conditions under section 193, but didn't have the courage to use section 184. Now it's becoming clear that they delayed meeting these minimum demands because they were busy preparing stories to capture A.Kejriwal in something which is more that 6 years old, and Bhushans with CD story, K.Bedi with privilege motion story, left to do with Hedge ji, and A.Hazare ji.

It might melt but it's going to retain its shape when you would be tired from your end and then you face the ire. I salute him for the courage he has shown and resigned IRS to serve the country he is real super hero ,not Rahul Gandhi who is carrying his family business in which he is also not good enough.Rahul Ghandi has tried to start Kishan Andolan in which he has failed, agitation is not every ones cup of tea sirji.
Government is throwing stone in mud and this will bring a big setback for them and I hope this incident will strengthen the image of Arvind, now more and more people is going through his profile and trying to know him.

Dear Arvind, Heard ANNA had spoken for you. I think if team memebrs are targeted by Govt. , tackle it within inside. Please do not BRING ANNAji into thsi. HE doesnt ahve to defend each team member everytime Gvot. uses dirty tricks. If ANNA uses his words only for ANTI-CORUUPTIOn, his words will be as worth as Mahtma. IF ANNA speaks often, then there wouldnt be much worth for his words when he comes out for another campaign. 'The Silence is the Master of the WOrds.' So, silence between the campaigns are the best. Please ask ANNA not to mention about the team members' perosnla details and how you know each other , etc. details in interviews and media. There needs to be restraint on all sides for ANTI-CORRUPTION campaign to be successful.

ReplyDeleteand since i am also a professional person so i will say that might be the conditions were not fulfilled for resigning from the job by you(as u said on TV interview).. And i also saw your interview on star news, where you yourself agreed that u knowed that u have not fulfilled the criteria of resigning instead u filed the mercy appeal to consider resign ,but u were right that on the mercy appeal the head of the department of income tax should not take action or send u any notice since u have done the work in public welfare. And "THAT IS THE ONLY DUTY OF A GOVERNMENT SERVANT".
But if the government or department will keep sending this type of notice to you then i would like to open a contribution campaign for your financial help to clear your charges and pay the money to the concerned department and bank.
and keep this light of I.A.C. burning forever.

It is no surprize. Once I had protested against a deputy commisioner of ITax at Pune, for sending a letter to private companies - it has come to department's notice that staff from private companies is not declaring their true income. I had asked the officer Mr. Sharma a basis on which the staff who have no choice but to pay TDS, how could they conceal? And if department had sent such notice to politicians, doctors, lawyers, etc. who actually hardly declare true income? And I asked him about what action has he taken for my tax refund not being sent for several years, and my return file being lost in his office. He did not have any defence, and initiated a tax scrutiny against me. The ward officer was nice and even told me how Mr. Sharma had asked her to do all kind of probing. She told me to be patient and go through the process. Mr. Sharma tried all stunts, but my records were absolutely clear. 1 year later, they passed the re-assessment order and there was not a rupee difference from my return. I even lodged a complaint against this harassment, but no reply or action was taken. I even had audio recording as evidence, still this tribe works to protect their bretheren.

Let us send send money to Govt. in protest against this harrassment.
Bringing down the govt is not a solution, if the other side is also full of similar tribe of politicians, and is in fact riskier. Congress will try to play the stability plank definitely in next election.

2.if department takes 5 years in telling about your due to be paid,then it is not logical to add interest on the due for delayed period.
3.considering above,you may put up representation for justice or else approach CAT.

I came to know something about Arvind Kejriwal in a TV Show debate. One person stated that Kejriwal and lot of other organizations fought and brought RTI Act. Then the rest of the organizations claimed that they temselves need to be brought under RTI but Kejriwal did't agree for that and didn't bring his own organisation under RTI.

ReplyDeleteI think it is "Time-barred" case under Limitation Act. there is no merit in the notice of the department. If department had any demand, it should have raised within time limit under the above said Act.

ReplyDeleteKeep up Your Good work and continue to fight against Corruption.The Govt will only try to put pressure on you to surrender to their terms by issuing summons,Notices.etc. Your Invcometax Dept Bosses have not handled your resignation as per law and have sat over it for 5 years. Now that you are fighting against corruption in Government They are trying to cover up their inefficiency and issuing notices to satisfy their Political Bosses.They will cite all rules and regulations from the Book and try to put pressure.Take it up legally so that your case will never see the daylight for another 20 years.The very same laws which they used to corner you will be working against them as they can never take action against you till the case is in court.
If the citizen's Charter for which you are fighting is realised then Your Bosses would have to do all the Explanation for sitting on the resignation and not you.Please don't get over enthusiastic and try to give explanations for the illegal notice they have sent to you.If you had bribed them ,perhaps they would have accepted your resignation straightaway in 2006 itself.
The Govt is trying to cast aspersions But the People know why they are doing it.
Today no one can call himself as honest because the laws are such that the govt can frame cases against anybody at will and also undo them at will. sincere request to you is to fight with renewed vigour as we are all supporting you.

ReplyDeleteArvind, you all are doing what every Indian always wanted to do, and that includes me, my Mother (she happily donated Rs.5,000/- to her local volunteers who bought cooking oil canisters for the people at the Ramlila grounds while Anna Ji was on ann-shan), my wife, my brothers all of us.. we have no aligience to any political party, our loyalty is to us - the people of this great Land India. We will like to walk step in step with you all till such time we do not end up securing a rightful, just and strong Lokpal Bill.. Jai Hind..
ReplyDeleteIf Team Anna Members like Kiran bedi or Arvind Kejriwal would have been corrupt , they would have utilized the oppurtunities which came on thier way when they were in Govt Service rather than doing this right now for such a petty amount. I have met Arvindji just a day before yesterday at his Parivartan NGO Office . He is a such a simple man wearing a simple shirt and Pant with a Fighting Attitude. I hold high Respect for these Individuals who have compromised thier Personal life and trying to change the system.
ReplyDeleteThis is unfortunate of our great country that, there is only one dominating political party so people don't have option to elect any one else except congress, they corrupt congress men knows this fact and continuing their dictatorship.
ReplyDeleteThe harassment of Arvind ji and team Anna is a message from our government that stop talking against us or else we will destroy and your image in public, but now Indians are much more aware to take any decision.
I wish Arvind ji, start a political party and becomes the PM of this country, i know it is a
dream but i believe in his ability.

ReplyDeleteThis is really embarassing the way this govt is acting against Team Anna members. Every time their people looking for even a small reason to harrash them by any way even voilently. Everyone knows why this govt is behaving insanly. They dont want their people to get exposed who all had looted the hard earned money of every Indian.The way govt representatives are commenting publicly about Anna & his team is really a torture to mind.
ReplyDeleteDuring last elections compaigns was run by Jaago re to wakeup the middle class & youth who has to hit jackpot to find a bright future in this country.But unfortunately the end result was not as expected. The voting percentage of both these class was poor. I addition ruling party had choose wrong ways to keep them away from polling by removing their name at lot of places across India.I was also a victim of that. Even after getting photographed thrice I never received any voter card.
This time I request every citizen, in particular the middle class & youth to spare some time for this movement against curruption and also to use their voting powers which can & will bring the revolution in our Country.
Also request Arvindji to do something to make every citizen vote without system failure.

ReplyDeleteit simply show the Govenments frustration and deperation. the "only" corrupt politicians forsee their shops of corruption shut down. they have power and they r making use of it "wrongly" as they have been doing so far.
